Sirat is that terrifying path which every one of us will have to cross one day. It wi ll be thinner than a hair and sharper than a sword. On that path, if a person relies on intellect, strategies, or cleverness to cross it, he wi lI surely fall, because nei ther wisdom nor planning wilI be of any use there.
To cross the Sirat, only deeds will matter. If a person is sinful, he will slip and fall into the depths below. But if a person is righteous, he wilI cross it wi th ease, even though the bridge is extremely narrow.
Some wilI cross it crawling on their knees,
some wilI walk, and some wi lI run. Some will
pass like the wind, while others will pass like lightning-each according to their deeds.
May Allah make the crossing of the Sirat easy for all of us.Ameen.
