The Kennet & Avon Canal

We've not posted in a while but our journey still continues. The cruise started from Stone in Staffordshire last year but we actually start this video from Oxford on the River Thames, continuing down the full length of the Kennet & Avon Canal until it joins the River Avon at Bath. It's a tough canal for two people as the double locks come thick and fast, there is limited moorings and the canal is quite overgrown in places. Looking back it is still very picturesque but it can be hard work. The trip itself spanned two seasons and we over-wintered at Caen Hill Marina. This however was only part of this years cruise as we prepare Archimedes for the trip from Bath to Bristol, then to Portishead and beyond, but more of that later.
