Tossing out all but one song (“Night And Day”) from Cole Porter’s score for the 1932 stage musical “Gay Divorce,” the makers of the 1934 film “The Gay Divorcee” substituted a handful of new tunes from the songwriting teams of Harry Revel-Mack Gordon and Con Conrad-Herb Magidson, the latter duo contributing both the award-winning “Continental” and this happy number introduced by Fred Astaire.
