WHAT IS WHITE BALANCE?
White balance in photography refers to adjusting colors so that the image looks more natural to the human eye. Our brains automatically correct for different types of light, but cameras need a bit of help. White balance ensures the colors in your images are as accurate as possible.

IMPORTANCE OF WHITE BALANCE
Correct white balance is crucial because it can dramatically affect the mood and tone of your photos. Incorrect white balance can lead to unnatural skin tones or an overall blue or orange tint. However, creatively playing with white balance can also lead to interesting effects!

USING WHITE BALANCE TOOL IN LIGHTROOM
Step 1: First, open your image in the Develop module.

Step 2: Find the 'Basic' panel on the right, you will see the 'WB' (White Balance) section at the top.

Step 3: Use the Temp slider to adjust the color temperature. Moving it to the left cools down your image, adding blue, while moving it to the right warms up your image, adding yellow.

Step 4: Next, use the Tint slider to add green or magenta to your image. This helps to neutralize any color casts.
