Leonard Cohen The Classic Interviews Part 1 of 12

Описание к видео Leonard Cohen The Classic Interviews Part 1 of 12

From a 1961 little heard discussion about an early poetry collection, right through to a 2008 interview about his live return, this 12 track collection shows a side of Cohen not always obvious from his music and writing, revealing a man with a mind as sharp as a knife, a wit as lively as a puppy and a soul as enlightened as the holiest of men.
Part 1 In this 1961 interview, Cohen discusses The Spice-Box Of Earth, his second collection of poems which was published in that year. He talks about his enthusiasm for kite flying, which he sees as something of a metaphor for life, and how he sees himself as a writer rather than a poet, arguing that 'poet' can only truly apply when a writer's whole body of work has been appraised.
