More Bison In The Hayden Valley!

Wildlife can be seen just about everywhere in Yellowstone National Park, at any time, but the two major regions in the park where you have the best opportunity to see the most diverse array of animals are the Lamar Valley, and, of course, the Hayden Valley.

Bison are plentiful in the Hayden Valley, particularly in the summer months when they have migrated to the higher elevations of the park, to escape the warmer temperatures lower down. When it gets cooler, the bison do the move in reverse, making their way down to the more temperate lower climes.
