You see, I thought I was just naturally good at memorizing music. I thought everyone had either a gift to sight read easily or memorize pieces easily. Turns out, I was wrong! I was using just one simple habit to help me memorize my pieces, almost on autopilot. By the time I was done learning a piece, it was memorized. I did this by following one simple rule: only play while looking at my hands; don't sight read.

I’m on a mission to share everything I know about learning, arranging, and piano church music. I believe music should be as beautiful and meaningful as I can make it -- because that’s how I feel and share God’s love.
