Air Filter Replacement - Kawasaki Versys 650

Описание к видео Air Filter Replacement - Kawasaki Versys 650

In this video, I would show how to replace the air filter of your Kawasaki Versys 650 motorcycle. The air filter in this bike is located under the fuel tank. The whole task can be finished in 30-45 min, needs some basic tool-set, someone to help (preferable), and some passion for DIY works on motorcycle.

The air filter's job is to keep filtering dust particles and let clean air inside the engine. However over time and more in dusty conditions, the filter gets clogged, which could lead to less air intake, resulting in poor performance of vehicle.

In my Versys bike the stock (factory fitted) air filter is paper-type, use-&-throw model. do not wash such paper / foam filters, else it will tear the membrane which would allow more dust to enter inside engine, creating damage. once in few months (depending on riding conditions), you can open the assembly and tap the air filter on surface to dust-off, or use gentle pressure air to blow away the dust. by such cleaning you may the continue usage of air filter, however after a stage the filter will get clogged and dirty - that time just get a new one.

tip - do this task when you have less fuel in tank, because lifting a full tank is bit difficult to carry the weight 😀

In this video I have replaced with HiFlo Air Filter, costed me INR 1999, refer the links :

On the same lines, the oil filters I have used on my bike are : HiFlo / Ison / ProFilter - 303 model (in all these brands, the model 303 is common).
