This European Schoolnet Academy thematic seminar explored how assessment of teacher learning is evolving across Europe and what this means for teachers, teacher educators and policymakers. The discussion brought together researchers and practitioners to reflect on current approaches — from portfolios and observation to mentoring and process-based evidence — and how these may need to adapt in changing contexts.

The session also marks the launch of the report Assessing Teacher Learning in the Age of AI, which looks at how teacher learning is currently assessed and supported across education systems and invites further reflection on what meaningful evidence of professional growth looks like today.
