The Giant Dipper 100 years Public Ceremony at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Описание к видео The Giant Dipper 100 years Public Ceremony at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

In this video, I capture the public ceremony in front of the Giant Dipper to honor a century of thrills in Santa Cruz, California.

The Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk located at 400 Beach Street in Santa Cruz. The great wooden roller coaster is part of the US National Historic Landmark (87000764).

It opened on Saturday, May 17, 1924, 100 years ago and replaced the Thompson's Scenic Railway. This coaster has been featured in many films including the movie Dangerous Minds, Sudden Impact, US, Bumblebee and The Lost Boys.
