Please excuse the slightly ropy camerawork in this video - this was taken back when my channel had not long been created, and this was one of the first miniature warning light level crossings I'd ever filmed. If you want a better example of this channel's content, check out my latest videos. An updated video of this crossing of MUCH higher quality has since been filmed, and is due for release later in 2026.

User worked miniature warning light level crossing with pump-operated barriers located on a rather rural Whitehall Road within the city of Canterbury in Kent. It has LED Red/Green miniature stop lights, which alert drivers when a train approaches, but there are no alarms here (now no longer the case in 2026). To cross here, the barriers need to be raised by operating one of the two provided levers, to pump the barriers up, and it takes a considerable amount of effort and time to raise both barriers here, unlike at some other pump barrier crossings where the barriers raise more quickly. One of the signs is a bit faded as can be seen in the clip where the barriers are being pumped up. However, the lever's handle can be seen coming detached at one point.

Two trains passed in this video, the first was a pair of Class 395 Javelins in Southeastern Highspeed Livery heading towards Ramsgate before a pair of class 377 trains head off towards London having recently left Canterbury West Station, the rear of which was still yet to be re-painted into the Southeastern Livery, as it was still in Southern Railway colours.
