Preparation is Key – Three Things to Think of Before Heading to the Snow

Record setting snow has hit California this winter. Before you go out to enjoy this snow fall there are a few things you need to think about before to ensure you are prepared for any situation. Assistant Chief and Search and Rescue Coordinator Mark Baldwin reminds Californian’s to think of these three things when planning a trip to the snow.

First, ensure you know your physical limitations and personal abilities. Second, have a the right equipment and supplies – all in good working order. Lastly, let your friends or family know your itinerary in the case something does happen. Being prepared will make your time enjoying the snow safe and worry free!
