I wanted to make a shoe rack out of a wooden pallet I found at the end of my street, so came up with a design using Sketchup and borrowed some power tools off a mate. It probably took about 10 hours to make, over a couple of weeks. Sanding took a long time and was the most painful part, but worth the effort. Finished off with a couple of coats of Danish Oil. Great for sitting on whilst putting on your shoes!
