Truth is the reality of things as they truly are. The greatest minds have sought it—Plato taught that we must search for truth, and Christ Himself declared, “Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find” (Matthew 7:7–8). Prophecy, from the Greek prophetia, means knowing the will of God—and to know His will is to know the truth.

God created the world in the image of truth, and He gave mankind the freedom to seek it. Truth becomes visible through knowledge, and knowledge is often revealed through mathematics and numbers.

Mathematics is the science of logical patterns. Though many call it a science, it transcends the physical world. Its beauty lies not in complexity but in the simplicity and elegance of its foundational truths—truths built on numbers.

Numbers are symbols used to measure and understand reality. Plato considered them “the highest degree of knowledge.” From ancient natural numbers in Mesopotamia to the later discovery of zero, and finally to the mysterious transcendental numbers—e, i, and π—numbers reveal the hidden structure of creation. Their harmony is displayed perfectly in Euler’s formula, a window into the mathematical order God established.

Yet despite this, man often remains blind. Ignorance darkens understanding, for as Socrates said, “Ignorance is the root of every evil.” Plato taught that knowing the truth is knowing things as they really are. And Aquinas wrote that man must know what he ought to believe, desire, and do.

But in rejecting knowledge, man rejects truth—and ultimately rejects God. For as Christ said, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains” (John 9:41).

Let us therefore seek knowledge, pursue truth, and recognize the divine order embedded in mathematics and numbers—the foundations through which God reveals His wisdom.
