C.N.N. Spanish Report on MDR-TB Control in India

Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) strikes nearly a half million people around the world every year. The hardest hit are often those is poverty who are the most vulnerable and least able to fight against this highly contagious disease due to lack of access to proper healthcare. This report is set in India — home to more TB cases than any other. More than 450,000 people live with MDR-TB. One is Senhoor Pathan, a fifteen-year-old girl living Ahmedabad. We see her grow stronger community outreach and support from the Lilly MDR-TB Partnership. The report aired multiple times on C.N.N. Spanish — a network reaching 14 million pay TV homes in North and South America and Spain.
