Windows 11 February 2024 update (Moment 5/KB5034848) - new features and changes

The Moment 5 feature drop-style update (KB5034848, build 22631.3235 and 22621.3235 with configuration update KB5035349) is now available for Windows 11 (23H2 and 22H2)! Starting with the April 2024 security update (KB5036893 - build 22631.3447 and 22621.3447), all Moment 5 features are enabled by default.

Available starting February 29th, this update includes several new features including smart (AI powered) snap assist suggestions, the ability to turn off news in Widgets, many accessibility improvements, updates to Notepad and Photos (   • Windows 11's Moment 5 update - Genera...  ), updates to file sharing, better Windows 365 integration and much more. Moment 5 isn't as big as the Moment 4 and version 23H2 releases in the fall, but it is a nice update with some quality of life improvements. Changes made to Windows to comply with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in the European Economic Area (EEA) are also rolling out:    • Windows 11 KB5034848 (Moment 5) - not...

*The Fix problems using Windows Update feature is not officially documented - it is available if you have the configuration update installed. It will not work if you have installed the monthly optional non security update - only if you have the monthly Patch Tuesday update installed on your device.
