कोकण आणि कोकणातील रायगड जिल्हा ,हा रायगड जिल्हा संपूर्ण शिवकालीन मराठी मूलखाची राजधानी होता; आणि याच रायगड जिल्ह्याला निसर्ग देवतेने अगदी भरभरून दिलाय रायगड अगदी निसर्ग सौंदर्याने नटलेला आहे ..याच रायगड मध्ये माणगाव तालुक्यातील कुंभे हे गाव आहे.कुंभे हे सह्याद्री च्या कुशीत, अगदी उंचावर वसलेले गाव आहे.या ठिकाणाला जणू निसर्ग देवतेचे वरदान लाभले आहे .

जसे महाबळेश्वर थंड हवेचे ठिकाण आहे तसे कुंभे ही थंड हवेचे ठिकाण आहे. या ठिकाणी दरवर्षी पर्यटक आवर्जून हजेरी लावतात . पर्यटकांसाठी खरी पर्वणी म्हणजे पावसाळ्यातील कुंभे धबधबा,आणि निसर्गाने नटलेला आसपासचा परिसर. खरच पावसाळी मन मोहित करणारे वातावरण या ठिकाणी असते, अक्षरशःहा परिसर ढगानी वेढलेला असतो.इथल्या निसर्ग सौंदर्याच वर्णनं करताना शब्द ही कमी पडतात.
