تعزیه نمایش هفتاد و دو تن از یاران امام حسین (ع) می باشد که به صورت سنتی
درباره کشته شدن امام حسین (ع) و اهل بیت و یارانش و مصیبت های وارد شده
بر اهل بیت امام حسین (ع) می باشد.این هنر که در ماه محرم در اکثر شهرستان های ایران
برگزار می شود و یکی از نسان های به نام مذهب سیعه است.
نام اصلی تعزیه شبیه خوانی یا شبیه گردانی می باشد که به اصطلاح افرادی که این تئاتر
مذهبی را اجرا می کنند شبیه شخصیت های اصلی واقعه کربلا می باشند.
تعزیه نمایشی از مجموع آلات موسیقی و ضرب و آهنگ و شعر و لباس و رنگ است که معنای این تئاتر مذهبی را به وجود
می آورد و متمایز می کند در تعزیه خوبی ها و بدی ها ، زشتی و زیبایی با هم در ستیز می باشند.
براساس شنیده ها تعزیه در ایران بعد از ماجرای کربلای امام حسین و یارانش بر می گردد
