Situated in the Philippines along the Pacific's “Ring of Fire”, Clark Air Base and Naval Base Subic Bay fell victim to one of the most notable volcanic eruptions of the 20th Century and the simultaneous arrival of a major Typhoon. The entire region felt the devastating effects, and the Commissaries were no exception. Dr. Pete Skirbunt walks us through the catastrophic events that took place 25 years ago this month.
