FOUND (Short Film)

SYNOPSIS: While developing his prints, a young photographer reflects on his journey through Death Valley, and the terrifying event that changed his life forever.

This was a film I wrote and directed in 2015. It was my first time working with a professional crew, so it was a great learning process. I first visited the lakebed in the film back in 2008 with a friend who discovered it while on one of his random road trips. Even then, I remember thinking it would be cool to film something out there, so over the years I would entertain some ideas, but never quite got them off the ground. Cut to 2015, I was on a road trip with my friends going through Death Valley, and that's when the idea finally seemed to gel for me. I got home that night and started writing an idea.
