F150 Grille Replacement | ModFusion

Welcome back to ModFusion!!! Today’s mod is the replacement of the grille to a color matching grille. I started by removing the negative cable from the battery because I will be disconnecting the emblem from the truck. Then I removed the 14 clips from the top of the dust cover to get access to the top bolts that are holding the grille on the top. Then I remove the four 10mm bolts from the top of the grille. Then we moved to loosen the fender flares to get access to the bumper spacer. By removing the 7mm scree and pulling the fender flares out to loosen it from the three clips. Then we took a towel to place between the fender flare and the bumper spacer to protect the paint and pulled the end of the bumper spacer and we repeated the step for the other side. Then we carefully pulled the bumper spacer to get access to the two 8mm bolts that hold the grille at the bottom. Once we removed the two 8mm bolts we pulled the grille off the truck. Then we removed the active shutter system from the grille by removing the five clips on the top, the eight clips at the bottom, and four 10mm nuts and one 8mm screw from the side. At that point the only item that was holding the shutter system to the grille was 5 clips at the bottom of the grill which come off by pushing the clip down and the shutter system out. Then we needed to remove the last three clips between the grille and shutter system which are holding the camera cable and windshield washer line. Then I removed the existing camera from the grille by removing three T20 star screws and pulling slightly on the windshield washer system on the back of the emblem and placed it back on the new grille.
