Welcome onboard the AC Transit route J! This route starts from the Berkeley area at University Ave, travels a bit on Sacramento St and then it begins heading into Emeryville using Ashby Ave (just like the 7), Hollis St and then into Emeryville Public Market with heading onto I-80 and crossing the bay bridge into San Francisco.

In fact, J is one of the routes (another one is G) that runs beyond 9am in the morning. The last SF bound trip leaving University Ave is at 9:27am, which gets to SF at around 10am, providing an alternative option for commuters that go to work little bit later than the common times. At the same time, this route only operates using double deckers in the morning and MCIs in the afternoon.
