His performance in the film industry has earned him Filmfare Awards for "Best Male Debut" and "Best Supporting Actor." He went on to appear in several notable films, including Saathiya, Masti, Yuva, and Omkara, as well as Varma's critically acclaimed 2010 film Rakht Charitra.
