Fun fact: I received my first set of makeup brushes when I was 13. They came from Harris’, which was a high end department store in San Bernardino when I was growing up. To say brushes are one of my obsessions is an utter understatement. I collect Japanese fude brushes and have at least 25-30 brushes in my “working” arsenal on a daily basis.

Upon receiving the Pinnacle Foundation Brush from Anisa, I was more than skeptical about how it would perform. But, as with many good things in life, I was pleasantly surprised by this triangle-shaped brush.

Applies All Base Makeup Products Beautifully: On most days, I wear either tinted sunscreen or BB cream, so I initially used the Pinnacle brush with those products. The brush left no marks in its wake and applied the products seamlessly, so I moved on to liquid and cream foundation. While the brush did absorb more liquid foundation than I like, I was blown away by how well it picked up my Cinema Secrets cream foundation and applied it flawlessly. If you’ve used this foundation, you know that warming it is often necessary in order to blend it in, but not with this brush. I rarely dip a brush directly into a foundation pan, but the Pinnacle brush seems like it was made for this product, so I couldn’t resist. End result? Pure Heaven.

Closing Thoughts: I doubt I’ll ever truly acclimate to dragging foundation across my skin instead of stippling it in, but with bristles this uniform and dense, the end result made me a believer in the technique. This is a keeper … even for a die-hard fude user, and especially if you have sensitive skin.
