QalbyStudios: Muslim Belal & Essam - KABIR

The album “My Heart” is a Qalby Studios collaboration created between talented artists Essam from South Seattle US and Muslim Belal from South London UK. They first crossed paths in Malaysia in 2015 at an Ilm Arts event and since then they have worked together releasing a number of impactful faith based and vocals only songs that resonate deeply with their communities and growing worldwide audiences. Their creative work brings together faith, poetry, song, rhythm art and purpose and the outcome is phenomenal. Essam and Muslim Belal poured their hearts into this album, sharing their personal stories, vulnerabilities and experiences with the intention to inspire those who listen to reflect and to have a closer connection to Allah. "Kabir" is an outstanding track and a favorite from the "MY HEART" vocals only album, featuring prolific lyricists and artists Muslim Belal and Essam. The song was produced by JRB. who sampled a famous nasheed song called Tabalagho bil Qaleel, and the music video was filmed by AK Viisuals.
This collaboration represents a unique fusion of cultures, where South Seattle meets South London. Their lyrical prowess shines through, showcasing a blend of styles with profound lyrics and powerful messages that resonate deeply with listeners. "Kabir," is an Arabic word which means ‘big’ or ‘greatness’, and it encapsulates the essence of this powerful song. It is a heartfelt expression of the struggles and inspirations that have shaped the lives of Essam and Muslim Belal. They courageously share their personal journeys of faith which guided and illuminated their paths to Allah.
This track serves as a reminder of Allah’s unparalleled Greatness, as Al-Kabeer, the 37th Name of Allah; The Most Great, The All-Great, The Greatest, The One who guides us through life’s complexities.
