Jury Convicts Rita Pangalangan of Murdering Her Special Needs Daughter

A jury found Rita Pangalangan guilty of murder and great bodily injury of a child after video showed her leaving her special needs daughter, Cristina, in a hot car for five hours. Rita’s boyfriend at the time — Larry King — was also facing similar charges. He was found guilty of murder and great bodily injury of a child. Prosecutors said the couple were doing drugs at the time of the crime.
