OTIS GeN2 Scenic Elevator - Al Rais Shopping Centre, Dubai, AE

A typical Xizi Otis made OTIS GeN2 in a seemingly dead shopping center somewhere in Bur Dubai, Dubai. Interestingly this elevator is rear driven, meaning that the motor and counterweight (not shown here) are installed on the back rather than on the side. The escalators here are from 1995, indicating that this elevator must have replaced an older elevator (probably OTIS as well).

For some reason one of the door control buttons keeps on illuminate even when the doors are closed, something not commonly seen in many Xizi Otis elevators.
