Classic EMD’s at Vancouver, Washington (Glorious Sound Edition)

Описание к видео Classic EMD’s at Vancouver, Washington (Glorious Sound Edition)

The true workhorse for many railroads continues to be EMD locomotives built between the 1960’s and 1990’s. Whether SD39-2’s or SD40-2’s, even passenger F59PHi’s, the long term reliability of the two stroke engine is hard to question. Here are a few trains operating on the BNSF at Vancouver, Washington. First up, Portland & Western’s train 663 with a trio of GP39-2’s, #2311, #2312, and #2315 returns to Oregon. It pauses for Amtrak’s Empire Builder and then continues on it’s way. Right behind a BNSF local with SD40-2’s #1599 in Heritage paint and #1779 in classic Cascade green slides past with a short train in tow. Next up the afternoon Cascades with the newer style trainset and F59PHi #467 bringing up the rear. And finally BNSF GP38-2 #2367 initiated it’s autostart and began to idle. The sound was just too good for me to pass up.
