Highlights of world class serves, volleys, backhands, forehands and hot shots by Mischa Zverev who's one of my all-time favourite tennis players.

I've followed Mischa Zverev closely ever since Rome 2009 where he defeated Juan Carlos Ferrero, Mathieu, Tomas Berdych and Gilles Simon (top 10 at the time) to reach his first Masters quarterfinal before losing to Roger Federer in a tight match.

Zverev has always had big potential and talent but his main problems have been the injuries - fractured wrists, fractured ribs, herniated disc in the lower back, problems with the neck and knees and so on...

Inspired by his borther Sascha, Mischa attempts a comeback in 2015 after slipping out of the the top 1000. In 2016 he is already winning a lot of matches and passes the qualifying rounds of ten different ATP events, an exhilarating record and a solid proof of his perseverance and intentions.

In Geneva 2017 he defeated John Isner in a rematch of their Australian Open epic. Zverev also beat Robin Haase, Steve Johnson and Kei Nishikori. In the final Zverev showed that he had the game to beat Wawrinka (as he did in the quarter-finals of Basel 2017) but was simply out of energy after more than 14 hours spent on court in 8 days - 19 long sets in 7 matches. Mischa was holding his ground forcibly but "Stanimal" simply had a fresher, sharper mind and movement.
