INGREDIENTS:

Prawns – 200 gms

For marination:

Green paste –
Garlic cloves – 10 to 12
Ginger – 1 inch
Fresh coriander leaves – ½ cup
Water – 2 to 3 tbsp

Salt as per taste
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Tamarind pump – 1 tbsp

For chilli gravy
Oil – 6 to 7 tbsp
Chopped onion – 2 big sizes
Crushed ginger garlic – 2 tbsp
Finely chopped green chilli – 1
Chopped tomato – 2 medium sizes
Chopped capsicum – 1 medium size
Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves

Dry masala powder:
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Dry coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder – ½ tsp
Kitchen king masala – 1 ½ tsp
Goan garam masala – ½ tsp
Salt as per taste

Sauces
Red chilli sauce – ½ tsp
Tomato ketchup – 1 ½ tbsp

METHOD/PREPARATION
Step 1:
Clean, wash and Devine prawns, keep it aside.

Step 2: green paste
Add all ingredients mentioned above and make a fine paste. remove in a bowl and keep it aside.

Step 3: prawns marination
add all ingredients mentioned above to the cleaned prawns and mix well or apply masala evenly. Marinate for ½ an hour.

Step 4:
In a kadai, add oil once oil heats. add chopped onion and saute till translucent. add crushed ginger garlic and chopped green chilli and saute till raw smell of ginger garlic goes away. Add chopped tomato, salt ½ tsp, chopped coriander leaves and saute till tomato become soft. cover and cook for 5 minutes on low flame. add chopped capsicum and mix for 2 minutes. now add all dry masala powder and mix well. add ¼ cup of water and mix well. cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. add marinated prawns and ½ cup of water. mix well. cover and cook for 10 minutes on low flame. add sauces mentioned above and salt as per taste. Mix well, cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. once masala and prawns properly cooked switch off the gas and finely add chopped fresh coriander leaves.

Delicious prawns’ chilli serves and enjoy with steamed rice, bread or chapati.
