Cape Tribulation is an incredible location in Far North Queensland and in this Tropical North Queensland vlog I will show you all about the oldest rainforest of the world and the largest reef in the world.

Cape Tribulation is normally done as a day trip from Cairns because it takes just 2.5 hours to get there but if you ask me, stay there for 2 nights and experience living in the world's oldest rainforest Daintree Rainforest. This is where dinosaurs walked million years ago and the trees are as old as them.

I stayed at the Daintree Rainforest for 2 nights and loved every second of it. There are a lot of tours such as Daintree river cruise, Daintree rainforest tour, Daintree night walk, and heaps of boardwalks that take you inside the rainforest.

Although the Cape Tribulation beach looks very inviting but the Cape Tribulation crocodiles exist in real life and it is advised not to go near the water's edge at any point of time. There have been enough incidents of crocodile attacks to take the signs seriously and steer clear of any water bodies.

There are some safe swimming holes at Cape Tribulation but only swim there if there are signs saying that they are safe. One such swimming hole is "Mason's swimming hole" which does not have any crocodiles around.

Apart from these, Daintree is the perfect place to spot Southern cassowaries which are endemic to this area. Cassowary bird are found in Australia and even though they look beautiful and calm, Cassowary is an aggressive bird with the potential to kill.

Cassowaries can kill humans and if you come across one make sure to keep a safe distance because if they attack, it can be life threatening.

Extra Tip: If you own a 4WD, Cape Tribulation to Cook Town and then further to Cape York road trip via the Bloomfield track is amazing outback Australia adventure. Cape York is the northernmost tip of Australia and you will love the adventure.
