Willow Walks Waterfalls (Day 1, Whiteoak Canyon Trail, Shenandoah NP)

We share Willow's loop hike of Shenandoah National Park's Whiteoak Canyon and Cedar Run Falls trails. This approximately 8.1 mile loop passes about 8 waterfalls, some with swimming holes and 1 rock water slide.

Day 1 we walk north from the Cedar Run Trailhead parking lot on the Whiteoak Canyon Trail passing 6 waterfalls. The most notable being the falls at 1.8 miles with a swimming hole. At 3.4 miles, we turn west on the Whiteoak Canyon Fire Road, which connects to Skyline Drive and the Cedar Run Trail at Hawksbill Gap. At Hawksbill Gap, we connect with the Appalachian Trail and work our way southbound to Rock Springs Hut for the night.

Day 2 we'll catch a sunrise at Hawksbill Summit and finish the waterfall loop by taking Cedar Run Trail back to the trailhead parking lot.
