Who Is a Runner | Erin McGrady

In the 4th episode in our “Who is a Runner” series, in collaboration with Camp4 Collective, Erin McGrady shares how running gives her “the courage to have hope”. Growing up adopted, queer and with undiagnosed depression, Erin McGrady learned sports could be a positive outlet for her. In college she discovered running could lift the “heavy blanket” she sometimes felt and has been running ever since. “I know if I can get out the door, I know I’m going to be better.” Her and her wife, Caroline Whatley, run Authentic Asheville, a blog and content creation company that also creates queer-friendly travel guides for dapperQ magazine.
