This was a huge weather balloon operation. Six balloons in all launched on one morning. Four Vehicles were carried PongSat and MiniCube student and researcher payloads. Just over 3000 students-built experiments that flew that day. On top of that we did one TV commercial at the edge of space for Lenovo Computers and another TV commercial for an Indonesian snack food company.
An lastly we had a mission dedicated to carrying the wedding rings of a famous Japanese TV host.
We flew then from the Black Rock Desert in Northern Nevada and recover them 40 miles down range.
This is the mission video that we send to all the student and researchers that have experiment on board.
There’s not a lot of dialog. Mainly the experience of ride heading to the top of the world . Lots of launches, lots of time at the edge of space and lot of impacts some gentle, some not, one with a completely fowled parachute. All were recovered by our desert chase teams.
