Ewoke TV arrived at Shamli from Saharanpur only to discover that Shamli also has a sangam or confluence of Ganga and Yamuna like Prayagraj. Our team led by Editor Sanjay Pandey interacted with the small-time businessmen and tried to gauge the mood. On the way, we spotted some street vendors selling mouthwatering jalebi. As we relished the sweet, we tried to speak with local vendors about the upcoming elections. We asked them several questions about the performance of the current UP government. Surprisingly, people were upbeat about Yogi's return to power. In general, they were happy with the work done by the double engine sarkar of Yogi and Modi. Watch the ground report here

जलालाबाद से करीब चार किमी गंगोह (Gangoh) मार्ग पर स्थित गंदेवड़ा संगम को पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में विकसित किया जाना है। प्रदेश के कैबिनेट गन्ना मंत्री सुरेश राणा ने इस दिशा में प्रयास शुरू किए। वर्ष 2018-19 में अपर खंड पूर्वी यमुना नहर की ओर 2.34 करोड़ रुपये का प्रस्ताव शासन को भेजा गया। इसमें से पांच लाख रुपये मिले, जिससे सीढ़ियों का निर्माण हो गया था। 25 अगस्त को 1.77 करोड़ रुपये के बजट की स्वीकृति मिली है। 88 लाख रुपये अवमुक्त हो गए हैं। करीब 15 दिन पूर्व मंडलायुक्त सहारनपुर संजय कुमार ने संगम का निरीक्षण करने के बाद इस स्थान को विकसित करने के लिए सात-आठ करोड़ रुपये का इस्टीमेट तैयार करके सिंचाई और पर्यटन विभाग को भेजने के निर्देश दिए थे। इस्टीमेट तैयार करने की जिम्मेदारी लोनिवि को दी गई है, जो सिंचाई विभाग के साथ मिलकर काम करेगा।
