In this session, we will define what it means to be a victim, villain, hero, and guide. We will look at Biblical examples as well as secular examples of each character in order to identify ways in which we might play these roles in our lives.

HERO ON A MISSION
Whether we realize it or not, the lives we live are stories. Like all narratives, our stories are made up of four different characters: victims, villains, heroes, and guides. Because of our sinful nature, we are tempted to often play the victim or even the villain. But, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we can begin to play the role of the hero and guide more often.

During this four-week study, we will use Donald Miller’s book, Hero on a Mission, as well as the Scriptures to learn more about the four types of characters in our lives. We'll use this knowledge to plan how we might intentionally play the roles of hero and guide in our own lives.
