Minute History: Dogpatch USA

Описание к видео Minute History: Dogpatch USA

The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History presents "Minute History," a series of video shorts highlighting historic sites in and around Northwest Arkansas, one minute at a time.

In 1968 a theme-park based on the hillbilly comic strip "Lil Abner" was built in Marble Falls (also known as Marble City, in Newton County), Arkansas. Dogpatch USA featured amusement rides, log cabins and costumed characters. Financial difficulties led to the park's closing in the early 1990s.
