Sure, why not!
We spent the morning seeing site that ended up being nothing but did find a memorial to a part of the US Air Force from WW II and a nice place/castle.

The 457th Bombardment Group was stationed at a small airfield in Glatton, England. This Group flew B-17s over targets throughout Germany and Northern Europe through the war from the start of February 1944 until it was finished. Following the war, the base was turned back over to the British in July of 1945. See https://457thbombgroupassoc.org/ for details of their military service.

Grimsthorpe Castle Park and Gardens is a nice getaway for the day. A family of four can expect 25£. Nothing amazing, but a great place for a lunch on the lawn or letting the kids run through the gardens and forests. We didn't go through the Castle itself since we were limited on time. Noted as the original protions being built in the 13th century, conflicting history information about who built it make that time impossible. So the oldest tower on the building that is said to be part of the original castle could have been built as early as 1140. But since that time, many additions and reconstructions have taken place. Much of what is seen today was added on in the 1500's and then again in the 1700's. The Willoughby family who still owns the castle, is said to have owned it now for over 500 years.
