I tried the 'best breakfast in Birmingham'- Grand central kitchen

We were in this unassuming café because TripAdvisor had told us that it was the best place to go for breakfast in Birmingham. It was suddenly visible, popping up beside Tonight Josephine, coffee drinkers in the window, people-watching commuters as they exited New Street Station, putting up their brollies.

Inside, tables were set close together, maximising the floor space and offering dozens of Brummies a cosy space to enjoy breakfast. We were among them, situated near the counter where I could see someone piling cheese into fluffy omelettes. Mozzarella, perhaps? Then red Leicester? Positioned to look like a yolk. Fun.
