Winter Camping in Appalachia's Alpine Tundra - Snow Backpacking 19.5 Miles in West Virginia w/ Wife

Two days after Christmas my wife and I got the chance to finally get out to the Dolly Sods in West Virginia for some good old winter backpacking. We had beautifully unseasonal weather with the daily lows never dipping below 40 F. With this weather came a large rainstorm which raged throughout the night. Overall, we had a gorgeous and awesome time.
