SAICA

The Brief:
Saica is one of the UK's leading companies in containerboard manufacturing and recycled packaging. They are a family run company with over 70 years experience and over 1900 employees.

Saica approached STANDBY to help them communicate their belief in sustainable manufacturing through their closed loop cycle and commitment to developing long term business partnerships.

The final film was to be used as part of a competition entry, so it had to perfectly highlight Saica's values and commitment to a more sustainable future.

The Idea:
During our creative meetings we became really excited at the thought of bringing Saica's products to life through animating cardboard creatures, plants and trees. We wanted the audience to know that, through Saica's innovation and commitment to sustainable manufacturing that clients would receive the same high quality product and the environmental impact would be reduced.

The Execution:
Over 3 days STANDBY filmed in a number of Saica's UK based facilities, capturing the highly professional and modern work processes that take place at each stage of the closed loop cycle. During the online phase of the project we meticulously animated over 100 cardboard sections of tress, plants and wildlife. These were then brought into the project and tracked in 3D space to seamlessly sit within each shot.
