Doug Harmon of Scarville, Iowa, came up with an innovative way to reuse engine filters. He cut the mounting ends off of various sized filters with a band saw and removed the filtering material, creating a ready container to hold oil that leaks out of engine or hydraulic filters as they are being removed.
