Today we show how to make amazing chicken fried steak on the Blackstone griddle! We love this easy recipe with country gravy and mashed potatoes! Chicken Fried Steak in Shallow Fry

2 cube steaks (any size)
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk
2-3 tsp salt (to your preference)
2 tsp pepper (to your preference)
1 tbs Lowry's seasoning salt
3-5 tbs vegetable oil (to create shallow fry)

On med/low griddle surface, lay oil down and bring to temp (we cooked at nearly 420 degrees). While the surface is getting hot, place the flour, salt, pepper, and Lowry's in one bowl (stir until seasoning is even throughout the flour mix), and the buttermilk in another bowl. *Tenderize (flatten) the cube steak for quick even cooking, and then sprinkle with some salt and pepper. After cube steak is flattened, place in the flour mix, coating the entire steak, press the flour into the steak to ensure entire coverage. Dredge the steak in buttermilk until completely covered, and then place back in the flour again, ensuring complete coverage. Lay the steak on the griddle in the oil. Watch to ensure the breading does not burn, flipping the steak every 2 minutes until each side is golden brown.

Country Gravy (measurements for this cook)

3 tbs salted butter
3 tbs all purpose flour
3 cups whole milk
2 tbs salt (to taste)
2 tbs pepper (to taste)

In a medium pot, melt butter on med/high heat. Once completely melted, stir in flour, constantly stirring while pouring the flour in to create a roux. Once the rough is pasty, slowly pour in the milk (about 1 cup constantly stirring to ensure the roux does not clump. After a minute, pour in another cup, constantly stirring, and repeat until all the milk is added. While constantly stirring, mix in the salt and pepper. Add as much or as little as desired to taste. Continue mixing and bring sauce to a boil. The sauce with begin to thicken becoming a gravy. Once it has reached desired thickness, lower the heat and let cool (some), serve and enjoy!
