READ THIS BEFORE WATCHING this is a class so there are some mistakes. If you are not our student, do what your teacher says not what you see here. Omotesenke-ryu [表千家流] tea class April 11, 2022. For our students we are videoing our class so they can have additional tea experience. This lesson is for using a special incense container on a tray while using a hanging kettle of a design favored by Rikyu with a design of dragons and clouds. We are also using a gourd coal box and the Hoseidana. The Hoseidana was invented by Kyukosai 吸江斎the 10th Iemoto. I understand it is to make it possible to practice some small room procedures in a large room. The “bonkogo” procedure is one of the eight basic ones that are part of the first license.
