Students Protest at IIT Madras | Dalit Student Suicide Case

Massive protests broke out at IIT Madras after the death of dalit student, Rohith Vemula at the Hyderabad Central University. The police detained over 50 students who were raising slogans against the Government. Progressive student groups from various organizations came out today and condemned the death of Vemula. The students also demanded the arrest of Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, who ordered the suspension of five students, which included Vemula. This suspension eventually led to the death of Vemula.
