If you’re considering buying a spa but don’t have much outdoor living space, you’ve come to the right place. In this video I’ll explain what to consider before installing a spa pool in a small backyard, to help you find the best fit.

💦 4 things to consider before installing a spa pool in a small backyard:
1) Size and layout
You’ll want to start by measuring the available space. Consider any existing features that may impact the placement of a spa pool - such as trees, garden beds, or fencing.
2) Location and access
Once you have chosen a spa to fit comfortably in your space, you’ll need to decide on the best location for it. Ideally, you should choose a level area that is close to and easily accessible from your home - and is nice and private. Proximity to electrical and drainage is important to ensure your spa is connected safely and securely.
3) Equipment and maintenance
In a small backyard with nearby decking, planters or the like you will want to consider how you will access the equipment in your spa for maintenance and repairs.
4) Heat pump, steps and a cover lifter
If you have a small backyard, it’s not just the spa size you’ll need to consider. Also, think about where your steps will be placed, ensuring room to safely enter and exit the spa pool. A cover lifter will save your back and help keep your spa cover in good condition, so you’ll want to ensure you have enough room around the side of your spa to accommodate it.
