In 1986, the people united against the Marcos regime and the Philippines became free from totalitarianism.
President Corazon Aquino implemented a new labor wage law. The law increased the wages of employees nationwide and prevented the employers to exploit their employees for cheap wages.
Unfortunately, exploitation of workers still continues up to this day and no one from the government gives attention.

Housing projects of the government are nothing but charades. Corrupt officials, businessmen and contractors make a lot of money out of the projects.
The houses are a joke! 99% of the so called built housing projects for the poor are inhabitable. 99% of the relocated settlers go back to the streets and slums.
The real winners? The folks who got involved with the projects.
