May 31, 2007 - Signed by the Detroit Pistons late in the 2006-2007 regular season, 34-year-old Chris Webber played a key role in the Pistons' 2007 playoff run, particularly with the absence of Ben Wallace, who'd signed with the Chicago Bulls prior to the season.

Slowed by injuries and age, Webber generally played 30 minutes or less with the Pistons while lacking the explosion that turned him into a perennial all-star as a member of the Sacramento Kings. Still, his contributions were at times significant, teaming up with Antonio McDyess and Rasheed Wallace to provide the Pistons with a savvy offensive presence inside.

In Game 5 of the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals, Webber emerged as his team's go-to offensive threat, finishing with 20 points (9-of-13 shooting) and 7 rebounds in a double overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Of course, Game 5 is best known for being a LeBron James legacy game, in which James scored his team's final 25 points (and 29 of their final 30), finishing with 48 points in all in a 109-107 Cavaliers win.

Following the season, Webber signed with the Golden State Warriors, returning to where he'd won Rookie of the Year 13 years prior. He played nine games with the team before hanging 'em up for good.
