Video demonstrating how to build an AND logic gate with diodes. It also includes a quasi-"physical/mechanical" explanation of the circuit's overall functionality.

Though contemporary logic gates are most often implemented in the form of transistor and/or mosfet based circuitry, it's often nice to recall (or discover) that AND and OR logic gates can be built with little more than two diodes and a few supporting components. This video is for anyone interested in logic gate circuits in general, but especially for those who may have forgotten one of the simplest ways to construct an AND gate as well as for those who may not have known such could be done with mere diodes.

Parts List:
2 diodes (1N5819s were used in the video, but other types would work just as well, e.g., 1N4001, 1N4148, etc.)
2 Normally Open momentary buttons
3 Leds
1 10K resistor
5 1K resistors
power supply (5V, 6V, 9V, etc., DC)
hookup wire
breadboard
