Teacher Joint Action Committee Demands Strict Action Against Misconduct by Government Teacher Shazia Amin

Mankote,November 16, 2024 The Teacher Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has expressed strong condemnation over the alleged misconduct of Shazia Amin, a government teacher, towards the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Poonch district. The incident, which occurred recently, has sparked outrage within the educational community, with demands for immediate and appropriate action against the teacher.

Tehsil President of Mankote, Rafiq Choudhary, voiced serious concerns over the behavior displayed by Shazia Amin, stating, "If a teacher can exhibit such disrespectful conduct towards a senior officer like the Chief Education Officer, one must question what values and discipline such an individual imparts to students. This behavior is both unacceptable and unbecoming of a teacher."

In response to the incident, the TJAC has called for strict action to uphold the integrity of the teaching profession and maintain the decorum of the education system. The committee emphasized that such behavior undermines the respect and discipline that are foundational to the teaching and learning process.

Following the incident, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Shazia Amin at Police Station Poonch under FIR number 0201/2024. The charges include sections 132, 121(1), 333, and 351(3) of the BNS. The TJAC has commended the prompt action taken by the authorities and insists on ensuring that justice is served to prevent any recurrence of such incidents in the future.

The Teacher Joint Action Committee further reiterated its commitment to fostering a professional and respectful environment within the education sector. They urged all educators to adhere to the highest standards of conduct and discipline, which are essential to setting a positive example for students.

The TJAC has also extended full support to the Chief Education Officer and assured that it will continue to work towards safeguarding the dignity of education officials and teachers alike. The committee warned that any attempts to disrupt the harmony and professional standards of the teaching community will be met with firm resistance.
